Save Veteran Ralph Martello's Home

Ralph Martello returned home from a years deployment overseas in Jordan on March 31st 2017, only to find out that his home was not monitored. This left Ralph's house unattended and unmaintained during his deployment.  During this time, a severe rat infestation occured, as well as water and mold damage throughout the entire house.  In addition a small roof leak on the porch, left unattended for a year, caused rot damage to the roof and floor. Since the majority of this activity went on for a year unchecked, the house has sustained severe and massive damage. Damage discovered so far includes electrical wiring damage to every single one of his appliances and telephone wires as well as damages to other wiring in the walls, that has not yet been fully assessed, and all of the household electronics. Complete damage to anything with cloth, including carpetting, clothing, couches/furniture, beds, linens, etc. Mold damage has occured throughout the house and walls, with no room being uneffected, ruining, cabinetry, walls, ceilings, woodwork etc. Ceilings are literally falling onto the floor and wall tiles are sepered from the walls in the bathrooms and kitchen.  In addition, the rats have chewed and scratched through wooden baseboards, furniture, kitchen cabinetry and built nests in the heating systems and other large appliances, and basically all over the house. None of this damage is eligible for coverage under his homeowners policy because pest damage is not covered, nor is water and mold damage covered unless there was a sudden pipe burst, which there wasn't. Ralph is obviously at a loss to cover this monumental amount of damage. Beyond the obvious need for money, Ralph also needs materials and persons to assist in the repairs to his home.  There is not one habitable room in the house and will most likely have to be massively gutted floor to walls to ceiling, and everything else removed and thrown away.  
Ralph is a 31 year veteran with the Army National Gaurd with multiple deployments as well as a wonderful human being.  He has never turned away from helping others as a daily way of life, literally. Please consider giving to this cause as he is a very worthy candidate and has been left with basically what he and his son had in their possession while he was deployed. We have attempted to give  a rough estimate of costs, updating the amount as needed, to reflect the donated services and goods that have come in since the campaign started.
