Save the Indigenous Children

Donation protected
Imagine growing up in a world where innocent children are hungry, unable to follow their dreams, and who struggle to maintain the simplest of neccesities in life.

This is the case for the majority of Canada's Indigenous youth who have to face these obstacles every single day of their lives.

Due to Canada's poor treatment of the Indigenous population in the past, generations later they are still suffering and the children are hit with the aftermath the hardest.

Indigenous youth are one of the fastest growing populations in Canada, and children make up 50% of the Indigenous population as a whole. Due to this, it is quite shocking to have learned that the poverty rate of Indigenous children is at a extremly high 40% compared to just 17% of other Canadian children. Sadly, approximentally 60% of Indigenous children in Canada live in poverty.

Since this is the case, the rates of teen-suicide, homlessness, and overall inhumane living has drastically increased within this community.

This is not a topic that is talked about often enough and we feel it is our job to take action and spread awareness. Every child matters.

Our group has created 'The Kulu Project' to raise money for Indigenous youth and to spread the word about this extremely inmportant cause.

With these funds we plan to donate to many Indigenous youth foundations across Canada, to Save the Children who continue to take action for Indigenous Youth by making helplines, reading programs, food banks, and counselling available to them.  On top of this, prevention against sexual exploitation that has sadly been a big issue against the female indigenous community is made a big priority. We will also be purchashing toys for the Ilovefirstpeoples shoebox drive program that gives disadvantaged children gifts which are even more relevant around the holidays.

Please help us reach our goal and stand up for a group of innocent people who dont have their own voice!

Anything helps :)
