Keep The Grindstone Café Community Alive!
The Grindstone Café is a vibrant community café run by a dedicated collective membership. We offer a safe haven to grab a cup of coffee and a treat with a friend, or a space to work from home using our free Wifi, or a couch to just sit and visit with us! We also offer Yoga classes, Children’s Ballet classes, a Chess Club, Knitting Club, and a Tai Chi Club.
We ARE a community and as such we take care of each other. We offer a wide selection of locally roasted organic coffee and tea and use only organic milk in our drinks. Our bakers are local folks who work out of their home kitchens. We have partnered with the local food shelf doing can drives and we offer a pay-it-forward board where you can buy a treat for a friend or just for someone who might need one.
BUT things are changing and in order to keep our small Community Café going we need to do some restructuring of ownership. What it comes down to is we need to raise $6,000.00 by the end of November 2016 to keep the café open. This money will allow for consolidation of the ownership and allow us to continue serving our community. This café has been a labor of love for those of us who own it; we invite you our community to support us in this effort.
We cannot do this without YOU! It would be a shame to lose such a community resource, our gratitude will be endless!
