Securing Wildlife Corridors
Donation protected
Sumatra, Indonesia, is an incredible and unforgettable destination. Teeming with life, the island is home to some of the most iconic and threatened species in the world.

The Leuser ecosystem is the last place on the planet where the Sumatran Tiger, Sumatran Rhino, Sumatran Orangutan and Sumatran Elephant all exist together, along with a myriad of other species. Due to the combined impacts of illegal logging, poaching, and the palm oil industry this biodiversity hotspot is under threat.

We are seeking to purchase 2000m2 of land, taking the first step towards securing a wildlife corridor that will be accompanied by a sustainable livelihood program. This area is home to many species of nocturnal wildlife, and is used as a key pathway for species such as Orangutans, Gibbons, Bears and a multitude of other smaller carnivores.
Our aim is to purchase the land in order to restore the wildlife corridor, ensuring it is no longer under threat from private investors who will undoubtedly destroy it for commercial gain.
You can purchase a range of tree species for planting in support of this program. For every tree purchased we will provide you with a small note and a thank you photo of your very own tree in its new position in the jungle.
$10- Rambutan tree
$15- Durian tree
$20- Meranti seedling
$25- Trembesi tree
All donations will help us restore the main corridor area, and also provide a 25% land use space to develop long term sustainable ecotourism. This area is located along the 'buffer zone'- the area bordering the national park- so securing the surrounding land will assist in providing safe passage for local wildlife.
All donations to this cause are very much appreciated, and will go towards a more secure future for both the local people and the wildlife that call the jungle home.
Thank you for your support.
NB. All donations made to this campaign will go directly to Yayasan Rimba Lestari Hijau- charity arm of Raw Wildlife Encounters Pty Ltd.
