SAVE SHAGGY FROM THE PUPPY MILL

Donation protected
THE RESCUE MISSION IS TOMORROW SO WE ONLY ONE MLRE DAY TO RAISE THE FUNDS.

We are REALLY worried about Shaggy because this puppy mill owner doesn't care about him at all and we are worried if he doesn't get adopted soon we don't know what his fate will be. We don't want him to be given to a kill shelter or given to another puppy mill owner to be forced into other inhumane conditions. Please help us raise this money so we can allow Shaggy to be bought from this pet mill and rescued by a loving family in Texas.

------------------------STORY BELOW------------------------

As you know my family and I lost both of our beloved dogs, Shani and Megan, this past year.  As you also probably know, we are all obsessed with Bearded Collies and love them more than anything. You also probably won't be surprised to learn that we are part of many Bearded Collie fan groups on Facebook.

Recently, we saw a post in one of these groups that claimed the owner had a "family emergency and she had to move to Germany so she had to find a home for her 9 month old puppy". After seeing this post, we talked to the owner and it soon became obvious she did not care AT ALL about Shaggy and in fact was not even moving to Germany.

Since there are investigations ongoing we cannot release any information about who this owner is, but this is what I can share with you all. We learned that animal control has been called on this woman many times (72) because of the number of dogs she owns and the inhumane conditions that they are under. In order to avoid animal control she moved to another state with her dogs and is continuing to force her dogs to breed to make profits.

In the last animal control raid, the the two female Bearded Collies she had were taken, so now Shaggy (the male Bearded Collie) is of no use to her. She wants to get rid of him since she can no longer breed him.

The woman was already talking about wanting him to breed with the girl dogs and she was upset that he won't "mount" yet, even though he is only a 9 month old puppy. She currently has over 30 dogs and keeps getting new dogs to use to breed so she can make money off of selling puppies. We are worried about Shaggy's fate since he isn't making her money we don't know what she could do to him.

We contacted the a rescue organization. We have been in communication with them for the past couple days about this situation and the investigation. They have rescue volunteers located nearby to where the woman lives in Texas and these rescuers have agreed to go and rescue Shaggy from this puppy mill IF we can raise the funds for him.

So it seems that our best option is to pay the woman the $1200 fee she is asking for to purchase Shaggy. We are grateful to the rescue organization for helping us with this, but unfortunatetly they can't put forward funds towards the dog because of their bylaws so we doing the fundraising. In addition to rescuing him they have happily agreed to help him find a wonderful home. They already have a list of 12 people in the Texas who have wanted a Bearded Collie for years and will give Shaggy a great home.

All we want is to see Shaggy happy and healthy. So please please make a donation to save this dog. Shaggy needs someone on his side to fight for him and we are. We are hoping to be in contact with the new owners to get updates on Shaggy and we would love to share them with you. So honestly I can't think of a better cause to donate money then to give this beautiful baby dog a life of freedom and happiness. We know Shaggy is worth it and we hope you do too  <3.
