My name is Amy Kaulius, and I am raising money to help a friend who has a dog in need.
This adorable dog, Pixie, who lives next door to my sister in Anaheim, CA, has a bladder stone the size of a chicken egg (formal term is ammonium urate). She was just diagnosed yesterday. It is basically a rock the size of an egg, and it's so big, it's taking up almost the entire capacity of her little bladder. Without surgery at the end of this week, Pixie will not have a chance.
Rosie, the owner of Pixie, is about the sweetest woman I have ever met in my life. She loves Pixie more than anything. But she and her family just do not have the means to afford to pay for the surgery that is required. The surgery is $2000.
The money you contribute will go towards paying for Pixie's surgery to remove the stone from her bladder. Any additional money collected by this campaign above and beyond the $2000 needed for surgery will be put towards other services for Pixie, such as flea/tick treatments. If there is still excess money left over, we will be donating that money to the Orange County Humane Society, to help other animals in need.
I have absolutely fallen in love with this dog, and I am going to see to it that she gets the surgery she needs. I just need a little help.
