Help Your Music Teachers Save Their Store!

Hi.  My name is Brandon Croft.  Over the years, along with my fellow teachers and friends, we have helped to bring music to many of the children of our community.  Because of several unfortunate events, I and other music teachers in your community need your help.

I have taught guitar/bass/ukulele lessons at a music store for 13+ years now along with several amazing instructors who together, we have spent 30+ years teaching the children of our great community instrument and voice lessons.  Today, we are all blessed to see so many of the young students that we helped build a foundation and love for music pursuing their dreams in college and/or the music industry. We as a group of teachers have been fortunate to work in the Grayhawk Community and the Scottsdale and Shea area, and we have seen your children grow, transform, develop, and gain a greater knowledge for music.

As you may know, we all taught at Stages Music, either at Shea and Scottsdale or the Grayhawk location.  The lessons that we taught have been the primary vocation for most of the instructors.  Many of us perform paid gigs on the weekends, or help coach young bands; but Stages is the main income for us as music teachers.  We have teachers at Stages that have families, expecting children, kids in college, and a couple of your favorite teachers are in their 70’s, and have no other income except for music lessons – teaching children to perform, appreciate, and love music is what we do best, and what we have spent our careers as teachers enjoying, and loving.  We would like to continue to pursue this, we would like to continue to teach the children of our community.  We as teachers need our jobs, and we love what we do.

Stages Music was sold to an out-of-state investor a couple of years ago, and under this new owner’s direction, the South location was closed, and we are being told that the Grayhawk location will be closing soon as well.

The teachers at Stages want to continue to support, and teach your children – this is our passion.  To continue to teach with minimal interruption of income and lost lessons, we have found an amazing NEW location that is in between the Shea and Grayhawk locations – conveniently located with a great space big enough to accommodate all of our students.  We need some capital to open up this location.  All of the teachers at both locations are on-board to open up this store, and we can start immediately.

We would like to open the new location in 30 days.  However, we need to pay for signage, utility and rent deposits, some furniture, music stands, a couple of drum kits, a piano, microphones, amps, etc.  This will take some money to start.

This is where we are asking for your help – and If you could help us out that would be amazing. Every little bit counts. As you probably know teachers are not rich. We are pooling together to try to afford the initial cost of getting a store up and running. We need your help. If you are kind enough to donate, I will owe you for life. Feel free to call on me for a favor anytime. I will mow your lawn, play guitar at your wedding, or name my 3rd child after all of you.

Sincerely, from the bottom of our hearts, with many thanks for reading our GoFundMe, and for any consideration you may have in deciding to donate – we greatly appreciate it!
