In the summer before 4th grade, I started Rileys Backpack (our blog), with a goal to one day be just as good at blogging as my mom was. Throughout the years, the roster of authors has grown in leaps and bounds, and we currently have a great team.
That team, along with the community it has helped create, is what makes the blog so fun.
Last year, we decided that it was time to upgrade to a paid offer on Wordpress (our platform). This gets rid of all the ads that would plague the page and changes what is defaultly rileysbackpack.wordpress.com, to rileysbackpack.com
However, with only a few days left until I need to pay Wordpress again to keep our custom domain, I realize that I can't pay it like I did last year.
Jamie (an author and friend) had the idea that I could set up a GoFundMe to possibly raise funds to help, so that's what this is.
Any amount of money is welcome, and even if you can't afford to help monetarily, a share on social media will help as well.
Hopefully through this, we can keep our custom domain, and continue growing with our community!
Note: I was going to add a Copper Level for donations with the intent of making it a $1, but GoFundMe wouldn't let me make a reward level that low.
