Save Mel - It Takes a Village
Tax deductible
Mel is a darling, 2 year old Lhasa Apso who was found shot in the leg. This poor boy has been abandoned and the small, volunteer run, rural shelter in Oakdale, LA does not have the funds to care for him. They have reached out to Take Paws Rescue to help.
I named him Mel because it means fearless. Dogs are increabibly resilient, and little Mel has no fear. He knows now that he will be saved. Mel needs to have the bullet removed from his leg and his tibia is fractured. With orthapedic surgery and appropriate veterinary care, Mel has an excellent prognosis and an assured chance of his own happily ever after. We can't save them all, but with YOUR help, we WILL save Mel and get him ready for adoption. Please consider donating for Mel, no amount is too small. No dog should ever be thrown away. Let's give Mel the second chance that he deserves.
