Save Lizzi Bear

My roommate's dog is sick. The prognosis is not clear, but she could die. Yeterday, the emergency vet did an ultrasound and found that her pancreas and small intestine are inflamed. Lizzi could have pancreatitis, or she could have a blockage in her small intestine. There is a chance bone shards have punctured her intestine. Lizzi has not eaten for three days, and is throwing up constantly. The vet told us that she pooped this morning (for the first time in three days), but that doesn't mean there isn't a blockage.

Marrion, Lizzi's owner, opted out of exploratory surgery to locate and remove the potential blockage. It was too expensive. Instead Lizzi is receiving treatment for pancreatitis.  Marrion committed to 24 hours of treatment, for re-evaluation tonight at 6:30. So far, medical costs have been approximately $3,000. Marrion cannot afford more than $700 herself. Marrion's friends and family have stepped in to support her in paying for this, but we've reached our limit.

Marrion didn't want to ask for this help, but after much convincing  she has agreed. Lizzi is her life.

We would all be incredibly grateful for any support you can provide in defraying the costs of treating Lizzi, and making surgery a possibility, if it proves necessary.
