Save Northern Nevada Inline Hockey

Sierra Inline Hockey League is a non-profit in Carson City, NV that provides community inline hockey programs for youth and adults in the Northern Nevada community.  We have active participation from families in Carson City, Reno, Sparks, Fallon, Minden, Gardnerville and South Tahoe.  Our program encourages youth to improve their hockey skills while learning to function as a team.   Our programs directly impact hundreds of youth and adults throughout Northern Nevada and surrounding areas each year.



I am a second year member of the Board of Directors acting in the capacity of Youth Coordinator and I am also an active coach for youth ages 12-17.   The program is geared toward youth and adults alike and is open to players of all skill levels.  We regularly see new youth coming into the program with little or no skating experience and by the end of the season they have developed not only skating and hockey skills but have improved their capacity to work successfully as a team, to put effort into productive activity and to exhibit good sportsmanship.


Our rink flooring is deteriorating and the league is in immediate need of a replacement flooring to ensure that we can start the 2017-2018 season.   The currently flooring is more than ten years old.  Our board has obtained several estimates and believe that our fundraising goal of $65,000 will meet the requirement for a replacement floor.  Our board has voted to allocate all funds raised specifically to floor replacement.  

Even though our goal is large, no donation is too small and we are very grateful for your support!


In order to make this a successful transition, Sierra Inline Hockey League will need to raise the funds no later than August 2017 which will allow for manufacture and shipping of the replacement floor in time for the start of the fall season.

All donations are tax deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) organization operating under an umbrella 501(c)(3) offered by our sports league insurance provider.
