Save Darcy’s Leg

Darcy is a very pregnant 2 year old Pup who was rescued recently by the Animal Rescue Foundation of Bartlesville, OK.  She has had a hard time in her short life.  It’s obvious that this will not be her first litter of puppies.  Darcy’s even bigger medical concern is that she has a torn ACL in her rear right leg.  Because this is a very old injury she has lost all muscle tone in that leg and cannot put weight on it.  She is due in 2 weeks and after the puppies are weaned she will be scheduled for surgery.   She will be spayed and her leg repaired.  The surgery will cost $3,000-3,500.  She will also need a lot of rehab to rebuild her muscles.  This will include swim therapy.

Darcy is a beautiful sweet dog.  She has quickly become a favorite amongst the volunteers and is rarely alone during the day.  Because of the added weight of the pregnancy she spends her time in her kennel or in the front office.  It’s our dream to see her running again.  Please help us reach this dream.
