In August, 2016, The Boehm Showroom opened on the former site of the Edward Marshall Boehm Co Inc. As acclaimed, Boehm Porcelains are the most renowned and beautiful porcelain sculptures in the world, capturing nature with birds, flowers and animals. Classic porcelains are now, once again available to the general public, with permission of Edward Marshall Boehm, Inc’s current owner and subject to its high standards and production limits. We want to continue the legacy that founder Edward Marshall and Helen Boehm began in 1950. Over the past two years, the current showroom gallery has been conservatively renovated and highly skilled artisans were able to keep their positions in design, production and sales, as they had done for the past 30-40 years.
We are currently the last and only porcelain art manufacturing facility in the United States. Contributions will be applied to equipment upgrades, advertising, artist apprentices and regular monthly expenses. Our production division has the largest cost factor. An assessment & decision will be made in early 2019 as to whether we will be able to continue producing new & current sculptures. If we end production, we will have to downsize to remain as a sales company offering the remainder of our produced inventory. We will continue to acquire previously owned collections. Our restoration department will not be affected by any decision.
We need to keep this American tradition going and we need your help! Based on the current cost of operations, our goal is to raise $200,000 to ensure the continuing production of Boehm Porcelain. Our cherished customer base appreciates these magnificent works of art which are nothing short of museum quality.
