Saskatoon Passover Food Drive
Donation protected
We provide Kosher for Passover food to members of the Jewish community with limited financial resources.
The cost of Kosher for Passover food is prohibitive for many living in Saskatoon. The challenge is to meet the needs of the financially disadvantaged in our community. This may include someone who is: ill, senior, a newcomer to Saskatoon, recently divorced/widowed, unemployed – all with limited financial resources.
The funds raised by this project will support:
- Shmurah Matzah and food package deliveries to 150 Saskatoon families
- Heavily discounted public seders so that all can celebrate Passover in dignity
- Passover visits to the hospitalized, elderly, ill, and infirm
Absolutely none of the funds raised go to cover overhead costs.
Monetary donations are vital to the Passover Food Drive. The drive cannot happen without the generous support of financial donors such as you -- in Saskatoon and beyond. The cost of Kosher for Passover Food is prohibitive and 90% of the food is purchased at wholesale prices.
The miracle of the Saskatoon Passover Food Drive is the community involvement – sponsors and financial donors in Saskatoon and beyond make this an inclusive community project. Together, we partner to provide necessary food to members of the Jewish community who would otherwise not be able to celebrate Passover. Every delivery is made with love, care, and consideration.
Please open your hearts and give generously so that we can reach and help every needy individual this Passover. All donations are tax deductible.
