We help children with hearing problems. We are the Elks, a Canadian volunteer organization of men and women serving communities. In Saskatchewan, we support SPARC , the Saskatchewan Pediatric Auditory Rehabilitation Centre, which is a program for young children with hearing loss and their parents, located in the University Hospital in Saskatoon. It provides early detection, assessment, and rehabilitation for children with hearing loss, and is an active participant in the Saskatchewan Cochlear Implant Program.

Conventional fundraising isn't producing enough money for SPARC. We need to raise funds through other methods, so here we are. We need your help. We founded SPARC over 40 years ago, and have held an annual Walkathon every year. We have donated over $3,000,000.00 to SPARC, and have walked around the world over five times. The need continues and grows, and our ticket sales, Walkathon pledges and donations are declining. SPARC needs a minimum of $70,000.00 per year from the Elks, or they will close their doors.  I'm Harold Claffey, a resident of Moose Jaw, Sask. I'm the GoFundMe campaign manager on the Sask. Elks Association executive, and I have remitted the funds raised directly to the SPARC Program Director, Dr. Lynne Brewster. The campaign is closed for this year. I now need the money deposited in the account I set up the funds to go to so that I will be reimbursed.

We need to raise $15,000.00 or more from this campaign by Sept. 30, 2017. Donations of $20 or more can request a tax receipt.
