Sarah’s MS fight using HSCT

Hi, my name is Sarah.
I am 50 years old, married with two boys and have been diagnosed with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis since July 2017. I suffer from brain fog, a great deal of pain in my legs, problems with balance and consistent fatigue which can often be debilitating on its own.
I want to go to Mexico to undergo Hematopoietic Stem Cell Treatment (HSCT) to halt my MS and hopefully improve my symptoms. Mexico is one of the leading centers in the world for the research and implementation of this treatment. Studies show that the sooner you begin HSCT, the greater the likelihood of favourable results.
I live in Scotland where HSCT is not yet available, however, it is available in England. Unfortunately,I don’t meet their criteria and even if I did the National Health Service in Scotland won’t pay from me to have the treatment there. It costs upwards of £100,000 to have HSCT privately in England. In Mexico it is $54,500 usd
The £50,000 I am trying to raise would pay for the treatment, accommodation for myself and my husband who will be my carer as well as all food for myself and my husband our flights and any unforeseen treatments or circumstances that arise. The treatment process lasts for one month
I really want my life back. To be able to say to my husband or one of my boys “Let’s go for a walk,” and be capable of doing it. To be able to play with any potential grandchildren . I know that these may be silly things to most people but to me, they’re memories of a life I’m no longer capable of experiencing. I want to.
I am a proud person so asking friends, family, and strangers for money is not easy but having my life back is more important to me and my family than my pride.
