Sara Shepard, a loving and devoted mother of two young children was killed in an automobile accident on her way to work Saturday evening.
Sara was an R.N. at SLU and had just completed her first semester of graduate school pursuing a nurse practitioner degree specializing in neurology. She was working bonus shifts to earn extra money for Christmas for her children.
Your contribution to this fund will help with putting Sara's affairs in order, final arrangements, Christmas and future needs for her young children.
The funds will be managed by Angie McBride, Sara's cousin.
UPDATE: GoFundMe has asked we further clarify how the funds from Sara’s Memorial Fund’s will be used and managed. We will disperse the money into a separate account and from that account we will reimburse Barb and Ed Juettemeyer, Sara’s aunt and uncle, for the memorial service and her last months‘ rent that they paid for. The remaining funds will be used to put her affairs in order and at this time we are still getting our arms around that. Christmas for the children and future expenses for them will be paid for from the remaining funds. Sara’s brother, David and I are working together to manage the funds.
Again, our family is beyond thankful for the generosity and support Sara’s friends, family, coworkers and community have shown.
