Santana's School Supply Drive
Donation protected
Santana's School Supply Drive was organized by the family of Santana Mora, who unexpectedly passed away from a medical condition in 2012 at just 4 1/2 months old. The Drive was organized in honor and celebration of Santana's 5th birthday, which was on August 26th, 2016. Due to an overwhelming response and requests, the Drive has remained active to receive donations since Santana's 5th Birthday Celebration!
Why a School Supply Drive?
Since Santana would likely have started Kindergarten this year, the Mora family wanted to celebrate that huge milestone by helping other kids. Many families are struggling to provide the basic school supplies their children need to be successful in school. Here in our own community, 82% of the children in the Yakima School District qualify for free or reduced lunches.
How can you help?
*Make a cash donation!
All cash donations will be used to support Yakima School District students.
*Donate supplies directly to schools in your local community!
*Organize your own School Supply Drive in your office, church or other community organization!
