Sandra's Breast Cancer Fight

Hello, I never thought that I would be posting something like this but life changes in the blink of an eye. My mom (Sandra) was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer on Oct. 17th, 2018. Mom first went to the ER for chest pain and shortness of breath that was linked to blood clots in her lungs that we found the cause was cancer. She ended up staying in the hospital for 15 days. Due to constantly sitting up to breathe, she developed pressure ulcers (sores). Next was surgery to remove the dying tissue. They had a wound vac hooked to it in the hospital to aid in the process of faster tissue growth. Her insurance would not cover a smaller wound vac for home use. So the nurses packed the wound and she was sent home. It is difficult for her to sit for long or get comfortable due to the wound.

Chemotherapy started the week of Nov. 7th. The chemo will slow down the healing of the wounds even more.

Mom worked a full time job up until going into the hospital. My dad is retired. This journey that we are on... we are on together and I wanted to set up this go fund me page for them. They will need money for many different things for this journey, especially since my mom is not able to work now.
