San Francisco Firefighters in Safety Education

Donation protected
Hi Friends and Family!

I am raising money for a couple of the volunteer programs I work for and am extremely passionate about. I am trying to hit my goal of $3000 total in order to provide every station in the San Francisco Fire Department with a “Safety Education Box” in order to teach kids about fire prevention and what to do in case of a fire. Right now we have 3 boxes that rotate between 49 stations, which causes a lot of problems and hassle to our city’s finest. If we hit my goal of $3000, every last station in SF would have their own box and fire safety education would be second to none! If we pass $3000, all of the remaining money will go to AARBF, specifically to their “Champ Camp,” which is an all-expense paid camp for child burn survivors. This also allows them to continue to give FREE programs to burn/fire survivors from this year’s fires up north (Camp fire, Carr Fire, etc.) and to keep their services across San Francisco free. So please read my little blurb and help me reach my goal! Thank you!

Long story, short-

What we teach kids across SF elementary schools for FREE:

-Stop, drop, and roll
-Escape routes
-The difference between toys and tools
-A presentation by an active Firefighter (kids’ favorite)
-An engine visit for kids to go inside a Fire Truck

What I’d love from you:

-Each box costs ~$54
-A donation of $54 or any multiple of 54 gets your name (“Donated by -----”) on the box(es)
-If you donate a full box you will have the opportunity to go to the station that box was donated to, meet our city’s amazing firefighters, and take a picture commemorating the donation
-If we hit $3000 every station in SF will have their own box!
-Any amount helps! Even $1 donations are very much appreciated
-If you donate, please do NOT add a tip! This goes directly to GoFundMe, not the cause

More info-

As some of you may know, I am currently working towards my dream of working as a Firefighter for the San Francisco Fire Department. Things are going great and I am lucky enough to volunteer for some great programs during this process. Among others, I am the Intern Manager at the San Francisco Firefighters in Safety Education(SF FISE) and the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation(AARBF).  FISE aims to provide Fire Safety Education to students from K-6, like teaching “stop, drop, and roll,” escape routes, the difference between toys and tools, and much more. AARBF has an endless amount of amazing services ranging from programs for burn survivors, sending kids to camp, providing survivors with relief programs, to what I am doing in safety education for kids. On my side of things, these programs work hand-in-hand to provide every elementary school in San Francisco with FREE presentations, coloring books, and fire safety tests, to teach kids everything they need to know about fires. Both are non-profit organizations that have a lot of great services and opportunities for our communities. If you have any questions, would like to know more, are interested in volunteering instead of donating, or want to get in touch for any other reason, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
