Sammy Strong

The Cibulkas need our help navigating through an incredibly difficult journey.   Sammy has an exceptionally rare form of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma.  Because of this, the best oncologists around the nation are involved in constructing his treatment plan. The physical, emotional and financial toll the Cibulkas face is beyond comprehension. The doctors have decided on a very aggressive course of treatment that will last at least a year.  Below is a recent exerpt from Sammy's Caring Bridge site:

"We saw a doctor at Mayo clinic and he confirmed with many other experts from around the U.S. that Sammy should have radiation to his shoulder. The doctors are advising Sammy have the radiation five days a week for either 4 or 6 weeks. We are hoping to start next Monday... so next week will be a tough week for Sammy. He will be getting chemo and radiation every day next week."

Sammy's medical expenses are going to be astronomical (i.e. one of his shots costs $5600 per shot- he will need at least 7 times during treatment,  each chemo session is $4,000+).  Because of his intense treatment program, Theresa will need to take a leave from work to care for Sammy and get him to all of his many appointments.

Sammy, Theresa, Frank, Sarah and Q are as strong as they come and will face every challenge head on with courage and grace. They are not the type of people to ask for help. Let's assist them with some of the inevitable medical expenses coming their way.  Faith, family,  friends, and the gift of the best medical interventions possible will bring Sammy back to health, but it's going to be a long road.  Let's be the very best part of this horrible journey.
