"Help Sam play Soccer in China!"

Dear Family and Friends,

Santa Monica AYSO Region 20 U13 Girl team has been invited by Sport 8 International Co., Ltd to play in Chengdu, China in July!

If you didn't know, I've been playing soccer since I was six years old and I love it!  Most of my years playing I've been a Striker, but this year my coach gave me the opportunity to play in Mid-Field.  I dodn't mind because I am able to help out in defense and offense.

I have learned many skills on the field and how to be a good team player.  But most of all, I've made a lot of friends in eight years.  My plans are to continue playing soccer well into college.

When I'm not playing soccer, I like to travel with my mom.  So, not only will I get to play my favorite sport but I'll get to travel to another country.  I'm excited to experience another culture and meet new people in China!

AYSO is a non-profit organization, so we are raising our own monies for this great opportunity of a life time!  In AYSO everyone plays and parents volunteer.   My teammates and I will be fundraising individually and with our parents at bake sales, restaurants, etc. to make this happen in July!  

On my gofundme page your contribution will help pay for one chaperone and my round trip airfare, soccer tournament fees, lodging, meals, and some sightseeing in Chengdu and Beijing.  

Any amount you donate will be much appreciated.  You can use it as a tax write-off if you donate directly to AYSO Region 20 and in the memo indicate CHINA/Samantha N. Alvarez.  If you can not donate at this time, you can share my gofundme page with your family and friends.  

If you know of a company or "big" corporation who would love to sponsor our team or  know of a venue that allows fundraising like this one, please inform my parents.
