Safe Haven Ministry House

My name is Cynthia Yarbrough, a leader in Pulling Down Strongholds Ministry, and we minister to hurting people. This world is full of hurting people, many of them dysfunctional people.  Most of the problems people struggle with are rooted in the pain and trauma from the past, the effects of which, follow people throughout their lives. These hurting people hate the anger, the addiction, the fear, the depression, the rejection, whatever it is...  But they just keep falling back onto the same patterns of dysfunction.  It just doesn’t seem to get fixed no matter what they do or how hard they try!

We believe the Lord has given us some very unique tools to help hurting people deal with the pain from their past, and overcome it.  We help people turn their lives around, and move from dysfunction and failure, to stability and success.

The problem is that inner healing is a process.  It takes time to work through the issues.  And those who need help the most are usually the least able to afford a long trip for an extended period of time, in order to work through the healing process.  And then there are the ones who come and get ministry, but then they have to go back into the abusive environment again.  They can’t get out because they have no place to go.

We want to provide a place where hurting people can go!  Where they can live in community while going through their healing process.  A place where they receive:
     • Discipleship
     • Inner Healing
     • Deliverance
     • Life skills
     • Relationships skills
     • Communication skills
     • Conflict resolution skills
When they leave us, we want them to be healed and whole, and ready to re-enter society as successful, productive, contributing members of their community.

We just purchased a property that we want to make into a Pulling Down Strongholds ministry house, called Safe Haven.  We have nearly 3 acers of beautiful Florida countryside.  We want to pay off the property and build dorm facilities.  We want to make this a working mini-farm to provide food for residents as well as a therapeutic environment to get out in nature and “dig in the dirt” a little bit.  We will have chickens, rabbits, and goats.  We will build an aquaponics garden, and plant fruit trees.  We want to create a peaceful, loving, learning environment in which to focus on the Lord, and the healing process.
