SAFE TRAVELS-Get Edge a Car!

The cis world is not safe for Black trans women. Edge is a Black trans woman who organizes and holds a lot of space for the local New Orleans community as well as holds space for Black queer/trans artists who visit. Not having a vehicle while doing work for the community is not sustainable or safe for a Black trans woman, and taking a lyft or uber is not financially sustainable. Meanwhile, Edge simultaneously has often called cars for trans and non-binary/Black queers in need of emergency transportation. Therefore, investing in Edge having a car is an investment to the community as well as a guarantee that someone who is already doing the labor of protecting Black trans and non-binary folx in transportation emergencies will have the resources needed to do that work at all times and therefore protect Black trans and non-binary folx. IF we get Edge a car we are protecting her and other Black trans and non-binary/queer folx. Please donate and encourage your friends to donate to this crowd fund in order to help Edge navigate the cis world safely as she serves the community. A strong encouragement for white folx to give generously--please pay reparations with the goal of resolving long term problems, rather than putting on a band-aid.
