Sadie Saves

Donation protected
On April 19th 2017 we adopted our new puppy, we instantly fell in love. The day after her adoption we took Sadie to the vet to get her shots and check up. Unfourtanely we got horrible news from the vet. Sadie had a heart murmur and was diagnosed with Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). This is a congenital heart disease that is the failure of a large blood vessel to close after birth. The vet said because of Sadie's weight (1lb 11oz) that the surgery would probably have to wait until she was bigger. A few days after being diagnosed we noticed Sadie started breathing faster then normal and starting coughing. Sadie was taken to emergency vet, that's when the surgical team stated that they wanted to do surgery on Sadie the next morning. We knew heart surgery on a small dog would be expensive but we knew its what we wanted to do.

Now that Sadie is on the road to recovery I can't help but to think there was a reason why Sadie was sent to us. I'm starting a Fund Raiser called Sadie Saves. My goal is to raise enough money to help someone by paying for the surgery that is needed to correct the PDA. Without the heart surgery any dog with the diagnoses will lead to a poor outcome. I know that there are enough dog lovers out there to help me raise this money so atleast 1 person doesn't have to make a hard choice to let go of a new puppy that they just fell in love with.

I will be working directly with CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets to make sure that 100% of the money donate goes towards a PDA surgery.
