As-salamu alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

We pray you are all in the best of Imaan & health, Ameen.

We are raising money to complete the building of a mosque my dear beloved Auntie Kaltun Dirie Nuh (may her soul rest in the highest rank of Jannah) was contributing to. Allahu naaxristo she passed away during this difficult time in Bristol about 3 weeks ago. I would kindly appreciate if you could donate.

The Masjid will take a few months to build, and we will keep you updated along the journey and upon its completion inshallah. The mosque is located in Jig Jigga Yaar, Hargeisa, and we would like to take part in the completion of this masjid so that our Auntie can benefit from it. Any additional proceedings will go towards books and equipment from which worshippers of the mosque can benefit.

At the heart of any Islamic community, a mosque can be found. They are the beating heart of our community and stand as a physical example of our faith. A mosque brings the community together as it acts as many things, a social center, a community center, and an educational center, etc. The prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) even helped in the construction of the first mosque in Medina, as it was part of his will to define a place of worship for Muslims everywhere.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah, knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for them.”

An invaluable act of sadaqah that will impact countless lives is the contribution to the building of a mosque. In Islam, there are many acts that can lead to immeasurable reward – both today and in our Hereafter; these acts are commonly referred to as sadaqah jariyah. Sadaqah jariyah means a continuous, flowing, and ongoing charity. The benefits of building a mosque are plain as day if you think of all the rewards you will receive for every single prayer made in your mosque.

“Whosoever builds a house (masjid) for sake of Allah, whether it be small or large, Allah builds for him a house in Paradise.”

A great reward for building a mosque is being granted a palace in Jannah. Building a mosque helps us spread our deen in this world and brings not only ourselves close to Allah(SWT) but everyone who enters the mosque as well.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, “Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter.”

Every contribution makes a difference and is appreciated. May Allah accept this form of charity for us all. Ameen.

Jazakallah.
