Sabeen Abbas-Heart Valve Treatment

Sabeen Abbas is my cousin's daughter, aged 11 and living in Mirpur, Pakistan.
I have created this Go Fund Me page to raise money for her treatment in the UK at the leading private hospital, Portland Hospital in London.
The £20,000 will help to pay for Sabeen and her parents travel costs, regular consultations and treatment with the heart specialist (£800 per session) and separate fees for the cancer specialist. This is a poor family and all expenses and further ongoing lifetime treatment are covered in this £20k goal.

This little girl fought Wilms tumour (left kidney) in 2010 and as a consequence the kidney was removed.
Now aged 11, she is still fighting but for her heart this time. Unfortunately, a major side effect of her chemotherapy has left her with an enlarged heart. The left ventricle of her heart is severely dysfunctional. Her health has detoriotated in the past few years and she ia now left with a heart working at 22%.

The doctors in Pakistan cannot do anymore for her health unfortunately, apart from keeping her stable. As donors are rare in Pakistan, especially heart donors, effective treatment is no longer available for Sabeen in Pakistan.

This is Sabeen and her parents last chance to keep her alive. They nearly lost their only daughter once and cannot bear to lose her again. Sabeen has a healthy twin brother who is devasted at his sisters illness. Sabeen lost her eldest brother to cancer when he was 8 months old.
