Jason’s memorial fund

Jason Franklin was the oldest of our four kids. He was loved by many people as he grew up in Indiana, then St. John’s Florida, finally ending up in Columbia Tennessee working in the Bakery at Publix in Spring Hill.
At Batram Trail High School he was involved as equipment manager of the football team as well as a drill team member in JR ROTC, a program he loved. His goal in life was to continue the ROTC path through college. That dream was crushed when, for a still unknown reason he developed a seizure disorder. He was no longer eligible for any military path.
During high school he began his career at Publix, working in many departments, but mainly in the deli, then the bakery. He loved working for Publix, and he was loved by fellow employees and customers. I remember visiting him at his brief stint at an ORLANDO store. While talking to him behind the counter a customer came up to me, introducing himself and going on to tell me about how he comes in daily to purchase a deli sandwich made by the friendliest clerk in the store.
Almost two years ago he transferred up to a store in Spring Hill Tennessee to be near his best friend Cassie and her partner Kelsey. He lived with them for a year before moving to his own place. Well over a year ago he began dating Emily. She has become the love of his life and spent most of his off time with her, posting many adventures on FB.
Besides his love of friends, Emily, trains, Legos, fishing with Ben, Disney  and Dodge, he was fortunate enough to travel to his birth country, Korea, 16 months ago, bought the new Dodge Challenger of his dreams, and just enjoy life.
on Thursday his journey came to an end after suffering an apparent seizure at home and passing away. He will be forever missed by his family, friends and most anyone he has come across.
Our plan is to raise a little bit of money to help with funeral service costs in both Tennessee and Florida. Anything collected above the amount needed will be put into a college fund for his “son”  Zaelyn”.
Rest in Peace my beautiful son!!!
