Help Veteran Having Double Leg Amputation Surgery

This GoFundMe is for two of my friends, who would NEVER ask for help.  The husband, Jose (Joe) is a disabled United States Marine Corps Veteran. The wife, Darlene is a licensed clinical social worker (psychotherapist). They are both used to helping others and would not ask for assistance. Unfortunately, things have taken a downward slide for them. Since July 31, 2018 Joe has only been home for a total of two months. Most recently, he went into the Providence VA Medical Center, West Roxbury VA Medical Center and the Brockton VA Medical Center from May 26, 2019 until August 13, 2019. During that time, Joe underwent two back surgeries.  Currently, since September 16, 2019, Joe has been an inpatient at the Providence VA Medical Center again. He will be undergoing two serious surgeries next week. He will have a double leg amputation to hopefully relieve his osteomyelitis (bone infection) and sepsis. The recovery process will be extremely long and will begin with more time in rehabilitation. Due to Joe requiring extensive 24 hour care while home and in medical institutions, Darlene has not been able to work much at all. Unfortunately, life has becoming overwhelming.They would only need assistance to get back on their feet with expenses that have accumulated, including mortgage, car insurance and maintenance, utilities and multiple other expenses.  No amount is too small.  Joe served this country as a United States Marine and Darlene has helped others with counseling and domestic violence and sexual assault awareness. I am certain they will be appreciative of any amount.  Let's help them get back on their feet and take away some of the stress of recovery. Thank you.
