My name is Tom LoVarco. Since 1994, my wife and I have owned the American Black Belt Academy in Massapequa Park, NY. One of our close karate families has suffered the loss of both parents, leaving 3 kids behind. Their father, Tim Reid, passed away 3 years ago and mother, Christine Reid, passed away suddenly on December 4, 2019. We are asking for donations to help the children with their Mother's funeral arrangements and final expenses.
Thomas (23), Danielle (19), and Victoria (17), all have been dedicated students and hardworking employees. The Reid Family quickly became part of our family and have been so for the past 20 years. Both Tim and Christine taught their children to be the most giving and selfless people who go out of their way to help anyone in need. Thomas, an EMT at both West Babylon and Seaford Fire Department has dedicated his life to helping others without letting his own battle of cystic fibrosis get in his way. Danielle is in her second year at the University of Buffalo, studying to be a nurse. Any time she is home, she is always eager to get back to work at our school. Victoria is a senior at Seaford High School and plans becoming a police officer in the future. Both girls are camp counselors for our summer camp and use their spare time to babysit many of our students.
