My International Teaching Placement

Having a career in teaching has always been a dream of mine - to inspire, motivate and challenge children to develop learning and reach their potential. I am passionate about positively influencing the next generation and working hard to be the best primary teacher I can. I feel blessed to be studying towards a degree in Primary Education, surrounded by professionals who can help me achieve my goal.
Being a university student brings many opportunities and this is one I certainly don't want to miss out on!
As part of my degree I have the chance to do one of my placements internationally. I can broaden my experience by trying something new and different in addition to the traditional placements in school.
Upon successful interview I am able to volunteer for three weeks at 'Planetkids' - a children's ministry part of Planetshakers Church in Melbourne. I will be involved in the creating of their exclusive multimedia kids curriculum, children's programmes and local schools & community work. This experience will definitely benefit innovative teaching skills as well as developing a heart and character that enables me to flourish in both my faith and future career...all I need now is the finance to go!
To raise money for the costings of the placement I am doing a half marathon!! A crazy 13 mile run on 17th May! Training at the minute is hard work but I would love your support by giving any sponsorship you can towards helping me achieve my goal!
