Szymon Rywalski College Fund

My name is Szymon Rywalski and I come from Wejherowo, a small town in northern Poland. I play the horn (sometimes called French horn) and music is my whole life. My parents are both musicians: my mom teaches clarinet and my dad is the conductor of the Boarder Guards band.

In spring I was accepted into the college/conservatory program at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, where my horn teacher would be Ms. Denise Tryon, a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and one of the finest horn pedagogues in the world. Studying with Ms. Tryon would be a dream come true.

In addition to accepting me into the program, Peabody has offered me a $40,000 merit scholarship for the 2017-2018 academic year. The bad news: total cost of attending (tuition, room and board, etc.) is $68,653.

I am working hard to piece together the remaining funds needed for me to attend, but $28,653 is a totally overwhelming sum for my parents and me. And, as a foreign student, loans are not a possibility. This is why I am asking for your help.

Please take a moment right now and contribute whatever you can. I need to raise at least $12,000 by the end of August in order to start school in the fall.
