The Ryde Hawks South Little League team successfully competed at the NSW State Championships in early April, qualifying for the Australian National Championships to be held at Lismore, June 4-9. This is the first time a Ryde Hawks South team has qualified for the national tournament, and the players, coaches and families are justifiably proud of their achievements so far.
The winner of the national championship progresses directly to the Little League World Series played in Williamsport PA, USA.
Ryde Hawks South has a roster of 14 players aged 11-13 who will be travelling to Nationals in June. Each player faces $1750 in travel, accommodation and tournament costs, imposing a significant financial burden on the players' families in getting the kids to the competition.
We are asking you to help these kids chase their baseball dreams by donating as much as you are able to their cause.
In return, you will be a part of the first Ryde Hawks South team ever to progress to the National Championships, and will be giving them the chance to go all the way to the USA.
