Shelter + Halloween for Ryan&Allie

This is Ryan and his baby sister Allie (6 years old and 6 weeks old, respectively!). They live with their parents, but they are all homeless right now. Their dad is still a teenager himself and is trying to support them the best he can--he makes about $40 a day--but it's not consistent and it's simply not enough.

Ryan is in the first grade but hasn't been to school in a month. All the family shelters have waiting lists until at least the first of November. The family is currently staying in a motel room, but the money for that will run out by Thursday.

This family has been struggling for a long time--they don't have any family support, or enough food or clothing. And it's really trivial in comparison, but Ryan isn't going to be able to celebrate Halloween this year. It's obviously not as important as food and shelter, but it is part of a happy, inclusive childhood for a boy who doesn't have a lot.

So I'd like to take Ryan trick-or-treating this Halloween in a superhero costume (he says his favorite is "all of them"). I'd also like to give his family some $$ to be able to stay somewhere till the first of the month and get them in a shelter (and maybe save for a more permanent place to stay).

Ryan is an adorable, happy kid who deserves to celebrate a little bit, and his parents are devoted, hard-working kids themselves who need a little help. It really would make a world of difference if you could donate $5 or $10 to help them through this. BONUS: we will happily consider any costume suggestions!
