My father, Ryan Gulbranson, went into cardiac arrest on June 7th. My mother woke up and heard him struggling to breathe. She called 911 and soon after Ryan stopped breathing. She began CPR and continued until the paramedics arrived and took him to the ER. Once at the ER we found out that my father has heart failure and cardiomyopathy. This came as a complete shock and has turned the families entire life upside down. Ryan is 42 years old and active. He showed little to no signs of having any trouble with his heart before the morning of June 7th. Ryan was in the Cardiac ICU from the 7th until the 19th. He is now currently still in the hospital, but we are hoping he may return home soon. He is showing signs of improvement, but will have to undergo major lifestyle changes. Any donations will be applied directly to Ryan’s hospital bill as well as helping the family with expenses. Ryan has a wife, Chasity Kirby Gulbranson, of 22 years and 2 children. His daughter, Alexis Mandy, is 22 and attending nursing school while his son, Chase Gulbranson, is 18 and attending school to become an airplane mechanic.
