Ryan's Fight Against LCH

Ryan had been complaining of shoulder pain for a few days and his mom took him to the ER. Unfortunately, they soon discovered that part of his bone had been eaten away.  After going in for a biopsy at UCLA Ryan received the diagnosis of having Langerhans cell histiocytosis.  LCH is a rare cancer that begins in LCH cells.  LCH can damage tissue or cause lesions to form in one or more places in the body. Ryan has to go for a full body bone scan soon to make sure there aren’t any more lesions, especially in his spine or long bones. After that, they will begin treatment which is undecided until the family receives more answers.   The family will likely be having to make the commute to UCLA weekly, from Atascadero, CA.   The money raised will go towards travel and lodging expenses, as well as medical expenses and lost wages due to time taken off. Lets support this family in their time of need!
