Beccky is Beautiful

Donation protected

Beccky is one of all of our best friends, Grace West and I believe she deserves the absolute best so we decided to make a fund me page for her.  She has received 2 kidneys transplants and now is diagnosed with Lymphona. (CANCER)
Beccky is once again facing another battle, she’s an amazing person. Please dig deep and donate, it would mean the world to me and grace west who are organising a fundraiser for her and her family because of the ridiculously high medical bills and to help them get back on their feet.

Beccky Johns is a twenty two years of age and she has been fighting many battles throughout her life. Beccky was born with a medical condition called Polystic Kidney disease. What this means is that there are cysts on my kidneys and they multiply and multiply until they take over the kidney and it stops functioning. Becckys parents had a son before Beccky, who was born with the same Kidney disease unfortunally he had a few more complications and needed a Kidney transplant straight away. Unfortunately he was unable to put weight on and died at 6 and half months old.

Beccky Johns was at the age of 11 when she started dialysis. Beccky always felt like she was a normal, typical girl who had a kidney disease and was on a life support machine to make to make my kidneys work. Beccky received her first Kidney transplant after her 12th birthday, donated by her loving father ever since her brother was born dad wanted to be the first to donate.

Beccky at aged 12 went into the surgery for a life changing moment, only to find out that 24 hours after the surgery the kidney had lost blood supply to the main artery was possibly the worst thing that could go wrong. Beccky was then rushed back into surgery having no idea what was going on. 85% of the kidney had died and they had cut it off so Beccky was left with 15% of functioning kidney left.

If things weren't bad enough, Beccky was going from bad to worse, even to the stage where the kidney was making her feel worse, I got pneumonia and I was on life support. Her mother told her that they had booked her into surgery for the next day to take the kidney out and I was going to get a port in to start heamo straight away.

Beccky was just in Year 10 when she started back on dialysis again. This time her Mother wanted to donate, the matchmaking and testing took a lot longer this time and I was on dialysis for 18 months until the date came upon us. Beccky woke up after the surgery hearing the words she been wanting to hear forever and her father said to her "Beccky, everything went well,
your kidney is working and producing loads of urine, it worked".
As of the 2nd of october Beccky's mum posted this... On Thursday that all changed when it was discovered that she had a perforated bowel. During surgery it was discovered that she in fact has a large tumour in her lower abdomen. She was air lifted to the Alfred in Melbourne, and on Wednesday they were able to tell us that she has lymphoma. There are still more tests needed to confirm lots of things. Focus at the moment is on recovery from last weeks surgery and infections. They are building her strength before we start chemotherapy in about a week. We still can't really believe this is happening, but she has been fighting really hard, so we will too.

Please donate even a $1 will help her and her family out.
Much love Chelsea Bury and Grace West.
