My next powerlifting meet is officially November 14th in Dubuque, IA. Total training for this will be a FULL 12 weeks, and I'll be cutting/competing at the 181lb weight class rather than the 198lb class.
Like others before me, I have decided to raise money for charity during this entire training period. I could not decide between the Wounded Warrior Project and the Scott County Humane Society sooooo....im going to create a "GoFundMe" account and split the all the money raised 50/50 (minus their fee) between the two charities. Two good causes is better than one right?!
Not only are they great causes, I feel like the positive vibes from the donations will help push me on the days I'd rather not go train. I will also be growing out my beard again until then and after the meet I will shave my face COMPLETELY BABY BUTT BALD with a razor (havent dont this since like 2003) if we can meet the goal money amount.
It's okay if you don't want to or can't support me and the two causes, but don't get annoyed when I share the link every week or so. This meet, our soldiers, and animals are all very important to me!
So here's to hoping we can raise a good amount of money for them, and to hoping I can hit my goal lifts on that day!! I'll have the link ready maybe by Sunday or so. PS: At the end of this fundraiser (Nov. 14th) as soon as the funds hit my bank account I will split and donate EVERY CENT to the two great causes. I will also post pics of the money order/screenshot the donation amount to show it has all went to the proper places. If you have any doubt in my sincerity, simply don't donate. GOD BLESS!!! :-)
