ISM is in need of your financial help in order to cover rent expenses, wifi, water, new blankets for the volunteers etc.
Seeing as Palestine is facing an increasingly desperate situation, it is crucial that we have feet on the ground that can report back on the events that takes place, and to support the families who are facing evictions, arrests etc. We therefor ask you kindly to donate whatever small or large amount you might have spare, so that we can continue our work in Palestine.
A little background information:
The International Solidarity Movement (ISM) is a Palestinian-led movement formed back in August 2001. It is committed to resisting the long-entrenched and systematic oppressions and dispossession of the Palestinian population, using non-violent, direct-action methods and principles.
ISM aims to support and strengthen the Palestinian popular resistance by standing alongside Palestinians in olive groves, on school runs, at demonstrations, within villages being attacked, by houses being demolished or where Palestinians are subject to consistent harassment or attacks from soldiers and settlers as well as numerous other situation.
The movement opperates according to four principles, which all volunteers must be ready to adhere to. These are: (1) ISM is and should be Palestinian-led, (2) ISM use nonviolence, (3) ISM uses consensus in all decisions, and (4) ISM opposes all form of bigotry and/or oppression.
