Ruth Waller, medical expenses and needs

Kim Roundy was a teacher at Gateway Academy for the past two years and was an important part of our school community. Kim taught 2nd and 3rd grade students and had a classroom full of love and respect. She loved her students and their families and welcomed the challenge of teaching her students not only academics but also character, community and respect for diversity and difference. She was always warm and kind in her dealings with teachers, students and families, a true example of grace and courtesy.
Ruth also worked at Gateway and is an excellent mentor. She has found a niche working with students that need support in speech and language. She is a humble, kind young woman who has impacted the lives of many young students.
On August 2nd, Kim and Ruth were in a terrible automobile accident on I-15 in Cedar City, Utah. Kim was killed in the accident and Ruth was taken to St. George where she was placed in a medically induced coma with extensive injuries from the accident. We are all praying for Ruth's recovery daily.
We know that both the medical expenses coupled with funeral expenses will be in the tens of thousands of dollars. The family of Kim and Ruth need your support. We humbly ask for donations to help with Kim's funeral as well as the extreme medical costs that Ruth's recovery will generate.
Both Kim and Ruth have given themselves to our community through their work, their example and their love for others. Now is our opportunity to return that love to them and their family.
