Rusty's Memorial Neuro Consult Fund
Donation protected
Rusty was a lovely Podenco cross who was rescued by my friend at the age of 5 weeks from a dustbin where he had been dumped. Rusty developed really bad drug resistant epilepsy and fought hard along with Alison for 5 long years but finally lost the fight 23 weeks ago at the age of 6yrs. As March the 26th is Epilepsy awareness day, I thought it would be lovely to set up a fund in Rusty's name to finance an initial Neurology appointment for dogs with drug resistant epilepsy, whose owners would be otherwise unable to do this. This is something that is really important if a dog with drug resistant epilepsy is to have the best chance to fight this dreadful disease. What we would ideally like is for people to commit to regular small monthly donations, so that the fund keeps going. However if people can only give a one off donation that would be great too. Needless to say we will try to ensure as best we can that the money we use for this purpose is given to people who really cannot afford to do it otherwise.
