Hello!
My name is Kait Neibarger, and I am a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign studying atmospheric sciences. I decided a few months ago to step out of my comfort zone and begin training for a half marathon. During training, I was led to make this a feat of more than personal gain. I will be testing my limits in completing the half marathon, 5K, and 2.5K consecutively. Ronald McDonald House Charities is an organization that aims to keep families close when children are hospitalized, providing so much more than just a place to stay and meals, but support, comfort, and peace of mind in a time of need. Often overlooked, this is an extremely valuable resource for so many families. This organization is close to my heart, as it is the national philanthropy for my sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. At the University of Illinois Delta chapter, we have had a member of the sorority utilize these amazing facilities personally, making it that much more meaningful. The Delta chapter also works hands-on with the families of the RMHC of Central Illinois, traveling several times a semester to the house in Springfield to serve meals to the families of RMHC. I urge you to consider giving anything you can in support, no matter how small. 100% will be going directly to the Ronald McDonald House located in Springfield, IL.
