Helping Homeless & Disabled Veterans

Donation protected
For the last 131 days I have been on a mission to run across America. While may final destination has changed, my commitment to make it has not. Upon starting my journey (Newport, OR), I had originally set up this GoFundMe account to help me pay for the various expenses of these trip. However, after living the last 3 months without a home and seeing homeless and disabled veterans on the streets of almost every city that I have passed through. I have decided that it is my responsibility as a veteran to help these men and women who have so faithfully served our country only to be relegated to a street corner. They have stood their post and watched over us, but we have failed to watch over them. All of the money donated throughout the course of my run will go to the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust. I'll venture to say that everyone in this country knows someone directly or indirectly who has served or is currently serving. If you don't want to donate to the nameless 'bum' that you pass everyday on the street, then donate for that person that you do know. A cousin, brother, friend, friend of a friend, aunt, uncle, a friends father or mother, classmate because one day... it could be them on the street.
