Run for mum

Two days ago I lost my mother. Her lungs wouldn't start and the drs advised this down to her MS, my mums body was weak from three operations and she just couldn't recover from it. She died with her loved ones around her bed and we all got to say our final goodbyes.
To those who don't know MS is a nasty illness that slowly attacks the muscles in your body. Eventually it stops you from walking and talking. Trust me its torture seeing someone you love slowly getting worse day by day and knowing that there's nothing you can do to stop it.
I'm setting a goal of being able to run a marathon within two years. During this time I'll be hitting a few milestones along the way.

Half marathon without stopping
Full marathon without stopping
Although it was too late to save my mum from this illness its not too late to stop someone elses loved one from dying from MS in the future. Putting my body through this is worth it just to raise awareness for MS alone.
My family and my friends have been amazing with all the support they have shown already. This is a lot to ask for but I'm trying to turn a negative into a positive together we can stop MS from destroying another family.

I'm going to use this section to talk about my mother.
Julie Lonsdale was 46 years old when she passed. I never once heard her complain about how much pain she was in. She was always a positive person to be around. When Julie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis over 15 years ago, I was quite young at the time. I remember when she explained what was happening to her and she said to not worry as my mum wasn't going to go anywhere soon and that we are lucky to have each other. Her take on been diagnosed with MS was "Well atleast I haven't been hit by a bus. I'll get to see my children grow up". She was right about that!
I'll add more to this later on but right now I'm breaking up just typing it. Thank you for reading.
