Half Marathon for Darcie

I have decided to run the Derby half marathon on Sunday the 9th of June to try and raise money for my cousins beautiful little girl Darcie.
Here is her story.............
Darcie was born on the 1st of July 2016. At around 6 months Lisa and Simon her parents realised she wasn't doing the things that other babies her age were doing. By 11 months all she could do was sit unaided. She couldn't stand, roll or even attempt to move.
They took Darcie to see a pediatrician at 14 months to discuss their concerns, they were told they do not treat late walking as a concern until 18 months- 2 years so to come back then if she still wasn't walking.
In August 2018 Darcie had her first clonic seizure, Lisa has told me the story and i cant even comprehend what she and her mum went through that day. They are heroes. After more seizures and getting to a point where she couldn't even hold her head up she was diagnosed with epilepsy and put on medication.
While this was going on Darcie also had a MRI scan as she still wasn't walking at 2, in December 2018 they received the results and Darcie was diagnosed with Angelman syndrome, this is a complex genetic disorder that primarily affects the nervous system.
The family knew it was going to be a long and challenging road ahead. There is no guarantee that she will walk and it is unlikely that she will ever be able to communicate verbally but they will give her the best life she can have. The love they have for their little girl is unreal, she really is the center of their world.
The cost of weekly physio sessions for the next 18 months is £5000. They have a fund raising page and have already made a fantastic start but i want to do what i can to help increase that so please sponsor me, it doesn't matter how big or small, everything will help.
