Pottery For The People

The Rumriver Art Center , a 501c3 Non Profit, is seeking $8973  to create Pottery for the People.  The Pottery for the People program will establish the only pottery wheel courses in the northwest suburbs. We will refurbish an area that is currently under our leased square footage to accommodate the thirteen pottery wheel studio.  The funds will be used to purchase the equipment and supplies. Donors will receive dollar for dollar credit toward classes or open studio time. You donate $100 you receive a $100 credit toward classes or studio time. The start date for classes is onMarch 19, 2018.

Rumriver Art Center will offer three pottery wheel classes and open studio time. One will be a day class for those who want to try using a pottery wheel but are not wanting to commit to a class series. The second is an eight week Beginning Pottery or Intermediate Pottery wheel class.  We will offer four 8 week sessions of the beginner class and four 8 week sessions of the intermediate class. We will offer an introductory single pottery class every 4 weeks. We will add more classes as demand increases.
