Ruby Bridges 5th Grade Science Camp

We at Ruby Bridges Elementary School are a very diverse group of people. We are located on the west end of Alameda and we love our school! The 5th graders at Ruby Bridges will be attending Science Camp at Mission Springs Outdoor Education in the Santa Cruz Mountains at the end of March. We will spend 3 days learning and experiencing nature and science with each other. Many of us have never been away from our families and many have never spent time in the wilderness. This is a life changing opportunity for us all!

Please help us get to Science Camp! We have 70 5th graders and need to raise a total of $16,000 to get them to this 3 day, life changing event. Our Title 1 school is made up of many diverse students. 75% of our kids are on free or reduced lunch. The $310 per student cost is too much for most of our parents to afford. And many of our students would not have an opportunity like this, without our help. Will you please help us get there?
