Diabetic alert dog

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nevaeh Hinds I am 4 yrs-old. On March 19th 2018, I was rushed to Children's Mercy Hospital and later was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.  Type 1 diabetes is an auto immune disease, where my body attacks and destroys the cells in my pancreas, therefore making it where my body can no longer produce insulin. This means, I heavily rely on a strict procedure throughout the day involving finger pricks and insulin injections. Every morning I wake up to finger pricks to pinpoint my blood sugar levels and throughout the day my loved ones must measure my intake of carbs to determine the amount of insulin that is injected into my body to sustain my life.

I am asking for your help in assisting my family while they are currently raising money for a Diabetic Alert Dog! A DAD is a service dog that is trained to alert in advance of rapid raising (hyperglycemia) and rapid dropping (hypoglycemia) blood sugar events before it can dangerously impact my life. Early detection allows me to get my blood sugar back in a healthy range before these potential consequences hinder my ability as a 4 year old to properly grow and develop. Also, having a DAD (Diabetic Alert Dog) would give me added protection (especially during the night) to help me lead a somewhat normal life again and give my family members a little bit more peace of mind. Again, my name is Nevaeh and any help you can give me to purchase this life saving animal would be greatly appreciated and highly beneficial to my future endeavors.
