GEORGE SANTILLANO NEEDS OUR HELP!!
As many of you know, George was diagnosed with INCLUSION BODY MYOSITIS over 15 years ago. Knowing nothing about this disease he did research, seeked out different options and spoke to different Doctors all of which agreed, there was no cure.
One can only imagine the emotional rollercoaster he was forced to ride. As a husband and father to 3 young boys at the time, the path of uncertainties would now become his norm.
As the years have passed, his health has slowly declined. Since his diagnosis, he knew what he’d be facing as his illness progressed. We could only imagine!
But, By the Grace of God, George was lucky enough to find a great group of men that held weekly bible study classes. George embraced them with open arms. Time passed, the illness progressed, his symptoms became more evident. There came a point where he could no longer leave his home. George refused to give up his Studies. His determination prevailed and was blessed enough to have the Bible group go to him!!!
God became a huge part of his life as well as of his wife CeeCee....She too was forced to ride that rollercoaster and share the same emotions as George did...Denial, Anger, Depression. All this while attempting to be strong for her boys!!
God’s presecence became so overwhelming in both their lives that it led to the understanding and acceptance of God’s will as they traveled down this chosen path.
These last few weeks, George’s illness has gotten to the point where he’s had to be hospitalized several times. Life reviving measures were required at one point.
While at home, George is under the care of nurses who are responsible for all his life saving medical needs 24/7 along with his wife, CeeCee, as his caregiver.
Unfortunately, during George’s hospitalizations, the state withholds the little financial help CeeCee recieves. And although their son’s try to help out as much as they can financially, it just isn’t enough. This has caused a huge financial burden for George and his Family, a burden “WE” can help alleviate.
I know everyone is overwhelmed with the Holiday Season being upon us.
The SEASON of GIVING! Ironic, huh?
None of us know why George was chosen to travel this path. But unlike so many others, George’s Faith in knowing that God is always with him and will continue to be by his side as continues His Journey is what has given him a sense of peace and continues to make him smile!!!
We are asking you to celebrate the Season by helping out The Santillano Family. The money will be used to catch up on bills, pay for groceries, gas, and whatever else they need.
I know MOST of you know George. His quirky personality and mesmerizing smile was hard to miss. His friendship is unconditional and our memories are unforgettable. Once your friend, he’d be your friend forever!!!
