Livingston Wedding Registry

$2,400 of $3,000 goal

Raised by 36 people in 38 months

On August 8th, 2015 we will be beginning our life together as husband and wife! As excited as we are, the day would not be complete without the love of our family and friends. The outpour of  support we've received throughout our engagement has been overwhelming, and we look forward to everyone sharing in this blessed occassion.

As you can imagine, this time of transition has yeiled new, exciting opportunities; both personal and professional. This fall, Lauren will be attending medical school at Wake Forest University. In addition, Donovan will begin pursuing his Master's of Education degree in Learning & Teaching from Harvard University.

Due to our educational pursuits, we won't be living together after our wedding =( ...  For this reason, a traditional registry doesn't fit our immediate needs.  Instead, we've decided to ask for donations to begin our joint savings account!  The money in this account will be used to purchase all of the items you would normally see on a registry once we're in the same place again =) !!! Immediatley, the money donated would only be used as an emergency fund while we're in school. We appreciate all donations, no matter how big or small. Thank you for your love and support!

Love,

Donovan & Lauren

Dear Donovan, I'm French and I've been leaving in US for 8 years now ... And your "incroyable" speech touched me profoundly... It help me to put words on the deep pain I have since I move in US and become a powerless witness of great injustice ... Your speech gave me hope ... Your words made me happy ... I shared it with my daughter (14y) to make sure she will be a link in that chain made of knowledge and wisdom and break free from the chain of hate and ignorance ........ Brigitte Snyder

I applaud you (and your wife who must be equally spectacular) for what you have done so far in your relatively short lives. As a retired teacher, you have much to give to your students, your colleagues, your community and yes, the world. The children and young people of today and tomorrow (and yes, the adults too) need inspirational leaders like you. Don't rush; savor the ride; build your following, but yes, USA politics needs your voice (both wisdom and elocution) ... when you are ready. Thank your for your graduation Address at Harvard's GSE. To you both, enjoy your marriage, MD and Ph.D. Programs and know that I am a fan and want to be part of your future ($ and whatever). All the best to you both, a passionate (and retired) math teacher from Brookline (MA) Public Schools and now living in NYC

Your 2016 commencement speech was inspirational and beautiful. It gaves me chills as it reminded me of the feeling I had listening to Barack Obama's 2004 keynote speech. I know you have inspired many today, and as the speech goes viral you are going to soar to greatness. May all your dreams come true for you and your (obviously) wonderful family!
